A Bit About Me

A Cornish native, Calvin grew up in the rural town of Callington before moving to York to pursue a degree in theatre. He now lives in Bristol with his partner, and divides his time between writing, reading, and hiking around Somerset. He has been a professional writer for over five years, and has a wealth of experience in a variety of mediums, from film to theatre to prose.

My identity as a Cornish playwright is always present in my work. I am constantly inspired by the rich cultural history of Wales and the Westcountry, and often find myself gravitating towards stories that blend the mythical with the mundane.
